Alice Rich

Alice Parmelee Rich holds a BA in Fine Arts from UBC and is a graduate of the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in the Curatorial program. She also studied at the University of Dijon and the University of Copenhagen. Ms. Rich has worked in public galleries in Vancouver and has served on several Arts Boards.

Ms. Rich is known for her photography, which has been published and widely distributed as greeting cards through her company Parmelee Publications Ltd., as well as by Museum Graphics and others. Over the past years, she has pioneered techniques in mixed media combining giclée, photography, and painting. Recently she has been producing an innovative series of acrylic on canvas paintings. The imagery ranges from still life subject matter to abstract themes. Her artwork is exhibited at Studio 13 Fine Art located on Granville Island, Vancouver, BC and she also paints and exhibits in her Gabriola Studio, Gabriola Island, BC..
